Park & Ride
University Research Park (URP) Park and Ride is located off Science Drive between Whitney Way and Mineral Point Road.
Bus Route Schedule
The Route 11 bus will directly serve the URP beginning in the fall of 2007. The Route 2 bus also serves the area near the URP Park and Ride, but does not go directly to the URP. The 53 Express Bus service has been discontinued. Additional schedule information can be found online at www.mymetrobus.com or by calling Madison Metro at 266-4466.
- Current applicants:
- Log into the Transportation Services website at www.wisc.edu/trans.
- Click on the Apply/Update Parking Info link on the left-hand side of the page.
- Enter your NetID/password
- From the Permits tab, highlight Apply and choose the appropriate time frame from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the pencil to the left of "Apply for Baselot"
- From the dropdown menu in Permit Type Box, Select "Park and Ride."
From the Permit dropdown box, choose the lot you wish to be considered for - When completed with your lot selections, click on "Submit Choices" button.

Contact your unit parking coordinator to be entered into the parking application system before applying on-line as above. - Cost: The parking rates policy contains current Park and Ride rates.
Madison Metro operates a reduced bus schedule (Holiday Hours) on several dates throughout the calendar year. If you are a UW Park & Ride permitholder, Transportation Services will honor your valid UW Park & Ride permit in the following lots on the dates listed below.

Please display your UW Park & Ride permit in your vehicle on those dates.
A limited number of daily permits (based on space availability) will be available for pre-sale for employees without a permit.
Madison Metro offers Park & Rides. Employees and students may park for free at these locations and use their employee or student bus pass to ride to campus for free.
