Carpool
Carpools reduce traffic and parking congestion while improving air quality. Carpooling can be convenient and flexible—carpool members determine who drives, how many people ride, and how to share the costs.
Each carpool rider is automatically eligible for our Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program. ERH provides you with a free ride home in case of an emergency.
Transportation Services considers a carpool to be "...two or more UW employees eligible to receive parking, coming to campus together in one vehicle on a routine basis."
A designated Carpool Permit Owner is responsible for applying for parking, adding or deleting license numbers, and obtaining or returning permits when exchanging vehicles.
Students are not eligible to be part of a carpool.
