Warning about Apple OS 10.6 Snow Leopard!
In Apple OS 10.6, a change was made to the default
setting that determines how pictures and video are displayed on
video projectors. If you have a Mac computer running Apple OS 10.6
and find that on the projector, your pictures or video appear too
dark or the colors are not reproduced correctly (while everything
else looks fine), please contact
us. The fix is very easy and can be performed over the phone.
Warning about computers with HDMI Ports!
Some new laptop computers do not have a VGA video
port, instead they have a HDMI port. This HDMI port is not
compatible with most of our AV systems. Some of our
classrooms can accept a computer with an HDMI port, with the correct
adapter. More information here. If
you are not using a room with a Digital Laptop Input, and your
computer has only a HDMI port you will NOT be able to use it with the
video projector in our classrooms! Because of the nature of the
HDMI port, there is not a simple or inexpensive solution for analog systems.
Please contact us with any
questions.

Below is a HDMI port. This port can NOT be used
with most of our audio/visual systems!

The rooms included in these web pages are
General Assignment Classrooms, meaning they are managed by the
Space Management Office but scheduled by
Curricular Services (262-6345). There are many
other Instructional Technology classrooms that are departmentally
controlled and are not included in these web pages.
