General Safety Program

The General Safety Program assists all UW Madison departments, programs, faculty, students and staff in observing safe work practices as prescribed by the Wisconsin Administrative Code.  Additionally, the program promotes the development of safe facilities and advocates proactive maintenance programs to insure the safety of those persons using campus facilities for working, learning or playing.

Areas of responsibilities include fire safety, asbestos and lead management, indoor air quality, ergonomics, confined space entry, industrial hygiene and accident prevention.
