- What records need to be kept?
- Content determination
- Is the work covered by a standard operating procedure (SOP)?
- If yes, does the SOP inherently comply with the regulations identified above?
- If yes, train on SOP, not on regulations.
- If no, worker needs basic chemical waste training.
- If no, worker needs to know regulations.
- Does the worker keep records?
- If yes, worker needs record-keeping training.
- If no, record-keeping training is not needed.
- What about workplace safety?
- Is the work being done safely?
- If yes, there is no problem.
- If no, is the worker covered by OSHA or an OSHA state plan?
- If yes, refer to OSHA or state.
- If no, there is a dilemma. See text immediately below flow chart.
