Place waste and unwanted chemicals here
- Solvents with no metals
- Pour compatible non-halogenated solvents into round carboys
- Pour compatible halogenated solvents into square carboy
- Cap tightly after adding waste

Place all other chemicals in individual containers that are
- Safe to hold the waste for at least three months
- Capped with secure caps tightly closed
- Labeled: "WASTE" chemical name(s), your name, date
- For mixtures, estimate percentage of each component

For quantities over 1 liter or 1 kilogram, use
separate pans or trays for containers of:
- Concentrated acids
- Concentrated bases
- Aqueous solutions and Miscellaneous Hydrocarbons
- Reactive metals
- Oxidizers
- Cyanides and Sulfides
